Their sound is sad, hazy, hypnotic and blissed out, combining shoegaze , R&B, piano ballads, and classic pop hooks, with a heavy emphasis on dark, literate, and emotionally complex lyrics. Aloha Tigers' early exposure has been overwhelmingly positive, including being singled out for Song of the Day on the Line of Best Fit with an early version of the album track "Oh, The Glory of It All", and a recent post at newdust.com, who showered their praises on "Coven" and "Nice White People", two B-sides from their debut album.
